Activities
Fun things to do around Bol Cortia.
Zlatni Rat Beach (3.2 km)
Bol’s iconic Golden Horn is even more stunning in person. The crystal-clear Adriatic water shifts shades of turquoise, and the unique pebble spit stretches out into the sea, changing shape with the wind and currents. It’s perfect for swimming, sunbathing, or trying windsurfing while enjoying one of Croatia’s most photographed beaches.
Borak Beach (900 m)
A relaxed pebble beach just before Zlatni Rat, Borak feels slightly quieter but just as beautiful. The water is incredibly clear, and it’s a great spot for an easy swim. Ideal for a laid-back beach stop close to town.
Beaches
Spilice Beach (89.9 km)
A small, quiet pebble beach just east of Bol’s town center. Surrounded by rocky coastline and clear turquoise water, it’s a peaceful swimming spot away from the larger crowds at Zlatni Rat.
Martinica Beach (2.4 km)
Set beside the Dominican Monastery, Martinica offers a beautiful mix of culture and coastline. The pebble beach and gentle waves make it perfect for swimming, while the monastery backdrop gives it a uniquely charming atmosphere.
Cultural
Dominican Monastery & Museum (2.4 km)
Located on a small peninsula at the eastern entrance of Bol, this 15th-century monastery feels like stepping back in time. Inside, you’ll find historical artifacts and artworks, while outside, you can stroll the peaceful grounds overlooking the sea.
Dragon Cave (5.2 km)
Hidden in the hills above Bol, Dragon Cave is a fascinating hike to a 15th-century monk sanctuary carved directly into the rock.
Kino Mediteran Bol / Open Air Cinema (1.5 km)
Watching a movie under the stars in Bol is such a fun experience. The open-air cinema creates a cozy summer vibe, perfect for a relaxed evening after a long beach day.
Blaca Hermitage (32.3 km)
A dramatic monastery built into a cliff, Blaca Hermitage is one of the most impressive historical sites on Brač. Reaching it requires a scenic hike, but the reward is a fascinating glimpse into the lives of monks who once lived in this remote stone complex.
Vidova Gora (29.4 km)
The highest peak on Brač offers breathtaking panoramic views over Zlatni Rat and the surrounding islands.
Gažul Plateau Trail (20.7 km)
This inland hiking trail takes you from the outskirts of Bol up toward the Gažul plateau, a wide-open highland known for traditional sheep grazing and rustic stone huts. Unlike the coastal hikes, this route offers a rugged, authentic island landscape with panoramic inland views.
